End of DLP Testing (Queensland Health Project)

Queensland

Objective: To complete interface testing as part of the end-of-Defects Liability Period (DLP) requirements, ensuring all HVAC and fire systems meet the client’s specifications.

Outcome:

  • Comprehensive testing was conducted to verify the system operated as per the Fire and Mechanical Matrix, including smoke extraction, fire damper operation, and alarm integration.
  • On completion of our initial testing, a gap analysis was provided to the customer identifying all areas not adhering to the matrix.
  • The identified issues during the initial commissioning phase were resolved by the installation company, ensuring compliance with the original design and performance criteria.
  • The final DLP testing report confirmed all systems were operational and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Positive client feedback highlighted confidence in system reliability for future operations and saved the customer over $500,000.00 in future defects, that were solved during DLP.

Gap Analysis and Verification Testing

Queensland

Objective: Air Boar were engaged by a builder to conduct a gap analysis of existing HVAC and fire system interfaces, verify results against the current compliance matrix, and provide a comprehensive report with recommendations and repairs.

Outcome:

  • A thorough gap analysis identified minor discrepancies in system performance against the compliance matrix, which were promptly addressed.
  • Post-repair verification testing confirmed all systems exceeded performance expectations, ensuring robust integration and safety.
  • A detailed report was provided to the client, outlining the analysis, testing results, and completed repairs for transparency and record-keeping.
  • The project concluded with positive outcomes, with the client commending the proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.

Each project demonstrated the successful collaboration between the HVAC and fire systems teams, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Routine Compliance Testing (Maintaining over 100 buildings)

Queensland

Objective: To perform routine compliance testing of HVAC and fire system interfaces, ensuring adherence to ongoing regulatory standards (QDC MP6.1) and operational efficiency, as per site specific matrix.

Outcome:

  • Due to the Boar Groups licencing, we can complete all Functional checks of Fire and HVAC systems. This includes fire damper response, airflow management, and emergency alarm integration.
  • Air Boar conduct routine testing in accordance with the periodical requirements of AS1851-2012. This ensures the performance of the system is integrated and the customer and occupants have remained compliant and safe.
  • Air Boar provides detailed reports, to satisfy all QFES and 3rd party auditing requirements. The results are benchmarked against the Fire/Mechanical Matrix, resulting in an easily digested analysis for the customer to review.
